Lori Taggart's Center For Women's Health is the clinic I go to because it is staffed by expert professionals who listen to me. Lori Taggart, MSN, ARNP, is my Primary Care Practitioner. I selected her because she speaks to me in language I can understand, and is on the cutting edge of women's health care issues. Lori takes the time to treat the total woman. . My recommendation for the Center and Lori is POSITIVE because Lori Taggart, MSN, ARNP has consistently provided me with exceptional health care treatment, options, and service.

The Center is immaculate and is full of interesting books and art. Everyone who works there is helpful and kind and appointments are scheduled at reasonable intervals. My time with the Lori or other Practitioners at the Center is never rushed and they always listen to what I have to say and give me information in a way that I can understand.

I've had only good experiences (Review of Northeast Veterinary Hospital)

I've been using NE Veterinary Hospital for the last two years and I can't find anything to complain about. The vets have been kind, compassionate, and have given good care to our animals (both dog and cats). They work with me to make sure that the best decisions are made. The front desk staff is often busy, and when they can't help me right away they at least signal that they know I'm there and will get to me soon. I would take my pets there just for the quality of care, but I really love that they offer evening hours - that really helps me with my work schedule.

Not impressed (Review of Finesmith Tina MD)

I saw this doctor once for a skin condition. I thought she was short with me, but tried to keep an open mind. I used the cream she prescribed for a year, then tried to get a refill and she asked that I visit with her first. Oh, and before this happened I recommended her to a co-worker and she said that Tina was mean and condescending to her. I was quite embarrassed, but when I wanted to refill the medication, I did not feel like looking for another doctor.
Anyway, I went in and she basically argued with me about why I came in the first place! I was shocked, but again I kept composure and just took her new medication prescription, which she said would better suit my needs. When I go to pick it up at the pharmacy, they said that it was $200.00 because my insurance won't cover it. They said they already contacted Tina to see if there was an alternative, and she said that she had discussed this with me!!! Of course, I didn't take the medication, and calls were not returned when I tried to contact her. I guess she figured she already had my money. I should not have been so lazy and found another doctor!

Wonderful OBGYN (Review of Blackham Dana MD)

I found Dr. Blackham 12 years ago before I had children. Once I became pregnant, I was happy that I could still use him as my OB. I have been a patient of Dr. Blackham for 12 years and am extremely happy. He is a very hands on physician, which is hard to get these days. Even though I have moved from the area, I still go to him. He has delivered both my children and I have always referred him to my friends.
For anyone who wants a doctor who is a mix of natural and conventional medicine, he is the guy for you. I will always be grateful to Dr. Blackham for a happy healthy pregnancy that produced 2 beautiful children.
This guy knows his stuff and his staff has always been courteous and helpful. I can't imagine he would hire anyone who would not be as he takes his profession very serious.
I will always remember my first childbirth experience because he was there from beginning to end. His wife took photo's of the birth and he played the guitar afterward.

Thanks Dr. Blackham,

Rachel

Terrible Clinician (Review of Finesmith Tina MD)

I was a little surprised how easily it was to get an appointment with Dr. Finesmith, and now I know why. I came to her suffering from some major dermatological problems and she was recommended by a pretty good doctor. My first visit maybe lasted 5 minutes and I'm not sure she asked me a single question beyond "do you moisturize your skin?". My second appointment was equally blunt and useless. In addition, I called her office hoping to ask her a couple questions about side affects I was having from my treatment, and I was forced to go through her receptionist. Additionally, she completely blew off a neurological problem I was experiencing from a test she did. I was forced to come in for a third visit for her to tell me in what essence was a negative test result which she could have easily told me over the phone. I was afraid she had some bad news. Turns out she just wanted more of my and my insurances money. She made no attempt during my last visit to try to get to the root of what was causing my problem, just made sure I had enough scripts for potent corticosteroids and I was on my merry way. I was totally shocked. I work with doctors all day long and I've never met someone who is so out of touch with patient care.

Love him! (Review of Dr. Alan Munk)

Dr. Munk has taken care of my teeth since I was in elementary school (I'm now 26) and he has always been wonderful. I have never had any cavities. He is conservative in recommending 'intrusive dentistry', which I appreciate.

He removed one of my wisdom teeth, and I had to have a wisdom tooth pulled by another dentist because I was away for school, and the contrast was huge! Dr. Munk's work was fast and only mildly painful, while the other dentist took twice as long, and my mouth took 3x as long to heal. I credit Dr. Munk's skill for the difference. He is great.

I have been to many dentists in many different parts of the country, but I have never found one who is so thorough, caring and gentle as Dr. Hamada and his staff. The office made me feel very comfortable with
with their business like attitude, punctuality and enviornment. I feel that Dr. Hamada isn't after my pocket book by over treating or with theri fees. The filling that I got was very painless and done fast and efficiently. I would recommend anyone looking for a dentist to check Dr. Hamada. Steve M.

Horrible billing practices (Review of Oak Tree Family Dental Care)

 Author: Tom S.
Review of: Oak Tree Family Dental Care

I have been going to this office for more than 5 years I believe. I have heard that recently (I'm not quite sure how recent) there had been changes in dentists and possibly owners. I'm sure other commenters here have more accurate details about that.

I have ALWAYS had trouble with the billing practices here. Here are a few to illustrate:

1. I had double "Premera" dental coverage through the Marine Reserves and my other work employment. Through both I should have been completely covered and Oak Tree Dental was going to invoice them. Oak Tree could not get the invoicing straight and kept sending me bills for the work, so that I could pay them and my coverage could "reimburse" me. Through trying to work through this issue with Oak Tree, they told me that I was "no longer welcome at the office". I was floored at their incompetence in handling the billing and then their reaction to their mistakes.
(I had moved overseas for a couple years, and when I came back I explained the situation to a new office manager, and they said they were fine with seeing me again.)

2. In 2006 I was told that I needed some major work done. I think it was called "scaling", where they go deep into your gum pockets. I was told that I was in serious risk for this to get drastically worse... The bill was going to be huge with my insurance paying most, and I was going to be out of pocket $400 or so. TWICE I had confirmed the pricing saying that I was not comfortable with paying more than that and they specifically confirmed that this was the cost. Immediately after the work they asked me for another $350. I was sore, shocked, and bordering irate. I asked how this could be and they said that they had "made a mistake earlier, and this is what the cost would be". I asked if there was a way to discuss this and come to an agreement, but they threatened if I did not pay it, it would be invoiced to me until eventually it went to collections. I begrudgingly paid. This had happened on 2 previous occasions.

I'm a bit embarassed to say that the hygienists had been nice and I was pleased with the work done, but after reading through these similar experiences, it is clear to me to find a different dentist. Clearly not all dentist offices are this shady.
