Good Night Out (Review of Oceanaire Seafood Room)

Went with a group of friends to Oceaniare last week and had a great time. We met in the bar which has a good atmosphere, but is fairly small. We were seated at the appropriate time and the wait staff was there when we needed, but didn't hover. The food was very good and the wine list was fine. The atmosphere was a bit on the loud side, which was ok with our group. I will surely return.

My favorite casual business lunch spot in downtown Seattle (Review of Koji osakaya japanese)

Koji has been my favorite spot for casual business lunches for years. The sushi is great, the other Japanese food is very good, the service is very fast (easily in and out in 45 minutes) and the prices are very reasonable (generally can get out for under $25 for two). Dinner is also great, although the higher prices (and commensurate very large portions) usually cause me to stick with sushi for dinner. A favorite of kids as well, Koji's Harbor Steps location makes this a natural when we are all over in Seattle from Bainbridge Island.

Highly recommended!

Great Bartenders, Great drinks, Great location! (Review of Tini Biggs Lounge)

 Author: Dan M.
Review of: Tini Biggs Lounge

I am a concierge for a local business, and routinely send my guests to Tini Bigs, for both game day activities as well as for random requests for a great bar / martini. Tini Bigs has always lived up to the referrals that I send there. hey have a couple of the best bartenders that really care about their guests. I've tried every Martini they have (I live and work nearby), and love many of them. There are some typical "filler" martinis - but a vast majority are incredible. Combine the service from the bartenders and the great martini selection - and you've got a great experience.

** TIP ** If you can - sit at the bar and chat with the bartender when they have the time. Often times you get a better deal on the drinks, and those very same drinks seem to be a bit more... potent. While the $8 - $10 price per Martini is a bit steep - sitting at the bar, and getting that extra special service will more than offset the cost.

2 Martinis is more than enough...

Bittersweet Experience (Review of Thai Tom)

 Review of: Thai Tom

I went to Thai Tom last night with two of my girlfriends. We were told the wait would be 20 minutes, to we went across the street to Buffalo Exchange to browse while we waited. 15 minutes later, we went back. Suddenly our wait time was 20 MORE minutes. After those minutes were up... yes, you guessed it... there was another 20 minutes. We realized the host was seating people who hadn't been waiting as long as us, and it was only because of a nice guy's admission of this that we were seated when we were.

We ordered the spring rolls, panang curry with tofu, and poorman noodles with tofu. Everything was absolutely delicious, and TOTALLY worth waiting 60 minutes to be seated for. The portions are large and the 2 stars is just right for people who like heat but don't want to catch fire. For those three dishes our total was about 22 dollars.

But then came the food poisoning. I'm not sure how they managed this... seeing as we ordered tofu! Not meat. But about 3 hours after eating I was vilely ill and I still feel drained and nauseated. Both my friends got upset stomachs, but neither of them were as sick as I was.

In conclusion... It was an okay experience. The food tasted good, but next time I'll pass. It's not worth being doubled over in pain.

Excellent food and service (Review of Glo's)

All of the food is good, and the eggs Benedict are the best I have ever had. Everything about it was fresh and there's no rush to push the food and customers out to serve more. Take your time and enjoy good food made well with no hint of all of the things you don't like about fast food. The huevos rancheros are excellent , and the one, one, two options are almost too much to eat. Prices are more than fair.I can't image how anyone finds major complaints with this little gem. I ate here on three different days on a recent trip to Seattle and found the restaurant's food and service to be uniformly good. Don't miss it.

The worst guacamole I ever had! The worst aroz con pollo I ever had (tasted like warmed up dog food.) Mexican food is not complicated cuisine - but some how they screwed everything up!

Also...

Obnoxious servers -- female servers who were over-the-top flighty -they acted like Mexico City prostitutes on a Telemundo telenovella - male servers who were obnoxiously over-friendly in a barroom "hey amigo" kind-of way.

Obnoxious public drinking regulars - who obnoxiously parked their f-ing motorcycles on the sidewalk. blocking off a big chuck of Alki Ave SW (why does the SPD allow this?!?!?!!!)

Obnoxiously loud music.

Obnoxious kitchen help cursing, swearing and making loud racist commentary in Spanish. (They were loud enough to be heard over the obnoxious loud music.)

To even give this pigsty one star is way too kind!

I just came back from this restaurant and all I can tell you is DON'T GO! Their food is not really Japanese. I know it because I am Japanese. Their service is terribly slow....With the quality of food, I think the service should be quick! Who wants to wait for 2 hours to get disappointed? If you want to try some real Japanese food, pay a little more and go to Shiro's or Saito Cafe in Bell Town. If you can't afford that, go to Uwajimaya foodcourt. That's a lot quicker!!

The food is not that good and expensive. The place is swarming with kids all day long who are obviously ditching class from the High School across the street. They smoke on the patio and in the parking lot, There is graffiti on the exterior walls and there are often empty liquor bottles in the parking lot. It's just a hang out for juvenile delinquents and the management doesn't care.
